IMPORTANT INFO

SAFETY & SUPERVISION

Football contact is a priority, in a controlled, supervised environment. Here's how we keep campers safe.

CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT

Full-contact work is only run under full staff supervision, with progressive teaching from fundamental technique to controlled contact. Nothing live until the fundamentals are in place.

CREDENTIALED STAFF

Every drill is led by Pittsburg Football's coaching staff, a group with more than a decade of combined Northern California championship experience, assisted by alumni and current players.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

A credentialed athletic trainer is on-site for every Football Camp session. We follow CIF heat protocols and can quickly escalate to the trainer or EMS as needed.

EQUIPMENT STANDARDS

Mouthguards are required for every Football Camp session. Helmets and shoulder pads are required for full-contact periods. Molded cleats only, no metal. Flag Football and Coaches Clinic are non-contact.

OUR TEACHING PROGRESSION

Every contact drill at Coach Ram's Future Stars Football Camp starts with an air rep (no contact), progresses to a bag rep (struck on a shield), then to a controlled, thud tempo against a teammate. Live periods only happen after campers have demonstrated the proper technique for the drill. The staff stops a drill instantly for any form issue, no exceptions.

All contact is between age- and grade-matched campers. Camp 1 (Grades 4-6) and Camp 2 (Grades 7-9) run in separate sessions and do not practice against one another.

SUPERVISION RATIOS

We run a coach-to-camper ratio well below industry standards. Every drill station has a lead coach and at least one assistant. Water breaks are scheduled, not optional.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Coach Ram's Future Stars is a program for young people. Disrespectful behavior from campers, parents, or staff is not tolerated. We coach hard and we coach with respect.
